About

About Danalize:

Welcome to Danalize! I’m Danae, and I chose to go by my middle name for my business because it perfectly embodies what I want to do. Danalize represents the combination of the names ‘Danae’ and ‘Analyze,’ symbolizing my commitment to analyzing what it takes to succeed as a first-generation, low-income college student. I’m a rising sophomore at Barnard College, who’s a member of Harvard University female founder circle as well as a 2023 cohort member of the Barnard College’s Athena Incubator program.

My goal is to provide a platform for college students to connect and realize they’re not alone in navigating the challenges of college life and admissions. Danalize, established in 2023, empowers both high school and college students with the tools and resources they need to advocate for themselves and succeed.

If you’re looking to utilize your voice, foster community, and learn valuable lessons, you’re in the right place. I create content that offers real and honest perspectives on the realities of being a first-generation student, drawing from my own experiences and lessons learned from others.

Danalize is not just a blog, but also a business offering a range of services including financial aid templates, college counseling, and financial check-ins.

As a first-generation student at Barnard College, I’ve had the privilege of leading college admissions workshops and helping students secure a cumulative $100,000 in financial aid appeals for more than 500,000 students in 6+ countries and counting!

About Me:

Still not convinced? I’ll share a bit more about myself.

I’m an alumni of my high schools first graduating class. Which means, I know all too well about the barriers students can face when not equipped with the right resources or mentors. I’ve founded Danalize with these experiences in mind, hoping to utilize my platform, and knowledge to empower students to advocate for themselves.

If you have suggestions or just want to talk don’t hesitate to sign up for my newsletter or reach out through my contact form. I’m here to support you throughout your academic endeavors.
